  • JL Director

    Crystal Phillips

    Crystal became assistant director and curriculum specialist at Jacob’s Ladder in 2023 then easily moved into the director’s role in 2024. She has a Bachelor’s degree in collaborative education and a Master’s degree in Reading. She taught special education and collaborative teaching in Alexander City Schools for 17 years. Besides hiring teachers and other staff, she also models and inspires teachers with her firsthand knowledge of early childhood education. Crystal attends church staff meetings as well as the trustees’ committee meetings to ensure communication between Jacob’s Ladder and church leadership.

  • Administrative Assistant

    Christi Florine

    Christi has worked at Jacob’s Ladder for 9 years and has taught all age groups from infant to four-years-old. She was chosen to move into the administrative assistant position in 2024. Having worked with children of all ages, she has developed a deep understanding of early childhood education. She uses her teaching experience to support and collaborate with staff, providing valuable guidance to ensure success for the children of Jacob’s Ladder.

    Julie Goree

    Julie began working as the Billing Specialist at Jacob's Ladder in 2023, bringing 10 years of experience in Procare billing processes. With a strong background in accounting and customer service, she ensures smooth and accurate billing procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency of the daycare's operations. Julie is passionate about fostering a supportive environment for families and staff alike. She manages invoices, processes payments, and addresses inquiries, always aiming to provide clear communication and excellent service.
